Founded in 1996 by Pavlos Antoniades and Andreas Eleftheriou, today UDS Architects is established as a leading architectural firm in Cyprus, with branches in Limassol and Paphos. Our landmark residential, resorts, mixed-use and commercial projects can be found across the island. Richly diverse in architectural style, our work is unified by a mission to design exceptional architecture which respects its surroundings and transforms the economic, cultural and social life of residents and users.
Whether we are working with developers, companies or private owners, our multi-disciplinary team approaches each project in a customised, tailor-made way. One size definitely does not fit all at UDS. Experience in large scale projects
The practice’s project portfolio includes a number of High Rise Buildings, Office Buildings in main commercial avenues of Limassol and Larnaca, a number of Apartment Buildings in prestigious residential areas of Limassol and Nicosia, resorts and mixed development in Limassol and Paphos, as well as a large number of private houses all over Cyprus. Our work has won international awards and has been published extensively.
Experience in working with International Firms
Antoniades+Eleftheriou UDS Architects, being multilingual and multicultural, has work during the last years with a number of famous and well-established International Design firms such as Robert A.M. Stern Associates, Foster+Partners, EDSA, and Benoy, on very important projects in Cyprus including Aphrodite Hills, Venus Rock Project, and DEL-Mar Residences.
Local / Public Authorities & Legal Framework
Working with a number of large-scale projects in Cyprus, we have build a valuable knowledge and good-practice professional relationships with Local Authorities (i.e. Limassol Municipality and Planning Authority) as well as other Public Authorities (Central Planning Office in Nicosia, Fire Safety Department, Public Works department etc). Andreas Hadjigeorgiou is the officer responsible for the legal framework and negotiation for the planning and building Permits. He has an extensive experience and know-how of the public sector laws, regulations and procedures due to his past employement in Limassol Municipality Planning Authority.
IT - BIM (Building Information Management)
Our firm is considered the leading company in Cyprus in the use and implementation of IT systems in Architecture. We have been working as an office with BIM Revit since 2004 (first implementation of BIM in Cyprus) and we have been updating our software and hardware systems and IT knowledge ever since. Our 25+ member Team are all experts in both BIM and 3D modeling and visualization workflow. This ability has the following advantages:
- Significant savings in Time required to complete each and every design stage
- Realistic, updated and Dynamic visualization of the project from stage 1 for both the
- consultants and the Client to understand the project
- Minimize of technical error and conflicts between different sets of drawings
- Export data in different formats for other consultants to work, including xls area analysis for feasibility studies.
International COLLABORATIONS
UDS has acted as Architect of Record on some of the island’s most iconic developments in association with well-known international design firms. We also specialise in energy efficiency and sustainable building design, as well as the integration of information technology and sensors for smart buildings.
